Aal e Imran-64 (آل عمران)
Invitation to unity! In previous verses, invitation was to Islam with all its qualities, but in this verse, it is inviting to common points between Islam and the traditions of the people of the Scripture, and speaks to the Prophet (s.a.w.w):
Say, “O People of the Scripture, come to a word that is equitable between us and you – that we will not worship except Allah and not associate anything with Him and not take one another as lords instead of Allah.” But if they turn away, then say, “Bear witness that we are Muslims [submitting to Him].”
« قُلْ یا أَهْلَ الْکِتابِ تَعالَوْا إِلى کَلِمَةٍ سَواءٍ بَیْنَنا وَ بَیْنَکُمْ أَلَّا نَعْبُدَ إِلَّا اللَّهَ وَ لا نُشْرِکَ بِهِ شَیْئاً وَ لا یَتَّخِذَ بَعْضُنا بَعْضاً أَرْباباً مِنْ دُونِ اللَّهِ»
By this way of reasoning it teaches us if people were not willing to work with you on all sacred purposes, try to collaborate at least in the most important common goals and put it as the foundation To advance your holy goals.
